Switzerland's scenic route
Combining some of our favourite things about Switzerland with our expertise on the area, we crafted this tailor-made trip to prove that this chocolate-box daydream isn't just a winter wonderland.
Sounds of
the summer
A country often recognised for its winter marvels, Switzerland unvails a different kind of enchantment as the sun graces its landscapes. While the icy season often takes centre stage, a Swiss summer holiday subtly invites with its own array of exquisite pleasures. As the snow melts and lush greenery is revealed, lakes glisten under the sun’s warm embrace — Switzerland transforms into a sanctuary of natural beauty.
Traversing the gentle slopes and sparkling waters that epitomise Switzerland’s summer allure, panoramic views and serene moments by alpine lakeshores offer experiences both tranquil and thrilling. And working alongside Andara Travel, Carrier designed a Swiss summer holiday that encompassed it all.
The idea
Somewhat of an underdog when it comes to summer getaways, the sun-sparkled lakes and floral hills of Switzerland have always captivated Dave at Andara Travel. He wanted to let others know about this pretty spot, so our brief was to create a trip that soaked up the sun's rays to a Swiss backdrop while taking in the scenic route along the way.

A refreshing counterpoint to this winter wonderland is a slew of incredible lakeside towns and cities including Lucerne, with its quaint medieval old town, as well as the Mediterranean climes of Lake Lugano, located close to the Italian border. And the beautiful mountain resorts of St Moritz and Zermatt make for natural havens with views stretching for days. Whatever your preference, Switzerland is the ultimate destination for both outdoor adventure and relaxed self-indulgence.
