Penning the first pages of our tale as Africa specialists some 40 years ago, it’s no surprise that an appreciation for awe-inspiring animal encounters easily became part of our story. Tailor-made tours were – and still are – our forte, and today we’ve grown to curate only the best in bespoke itineraries from all corners of the globe. Circling back to our roots, this collection brings together two continents that were once one, and though now separated by miles, millennia and a multitude of cultural identities, have shared similarities ever since. How are Africa and Asia connected?

You might not know when or where, or even how, but you may have heard of Gondwana. The historic region in India could ring a bell, or a quick search will turn up the game reserve in South Africa, but neither are the one we’re talking about. The Gondwana we mean was one of two supercontinents. It’s the one that plate tectonics broke into what we know as Australia, Antarctica, South America, Africa and the Indian subcontinent. And it’s the reason why the wildlife of the latter two are so intertwined.
