Selinda Reserve – Moremi Game Reserve

Wondering at the
natural world

The safari-darling for royalty and naturalists alike, Botswana’s remote and lush lands are a privileged insight into one of Africa’s most precious wildlife havens.

Wild, untrammelled and proudly holding the last intact delta in the world – the Okavango – this landlocked country is the closest to human-free land you can arguably get. Pair that with a low tourist volume philosophy and exclusivity truly is the name of the game here. From lodges housing must-meet experts and unmatched experiences to the landscape itself, that could kid anyone into believing it was theirs and theirs alone.

Starting off the beaten track, Selinda Reserve’s private status and heaps of wildlife make for game drives with little to no neighbouring vehicles. And, being home to the Great Plains Foundation, activities encompass the passions of owners Dereck and Beverly Joubert like photography and conservation. A helicopter south then lands in the Moremi Game Reserve where an art-loving lodge and time in local villages awaits.

  • LOCAL CONNECTOR

“Be the difference...”  When coming to head up the team at Xigera in 2022, it was the legacy left by the former CEO that Ben resonated with the most. Valuing his love of wildlife and a passion for helping people succeed, the projects the lodge are involved with are close to his heart...
