Grenada

  • An aerial view of two yellow boats on a beach

A seasoning of nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger scenting the air, all it takes is one deep breath in and you’ll almost taste the reason Grenada is shaking things up as the Caribbean’s spice island.

Hitting the sweetest spot with its golden caster sugar sands, countless secluded coves, and an entire community of figures in an underwater sculpture park; this is the place for sprawling sunbathers and ocean adventurers to get their fill. There is, however, an unexpected kick for intrepid wanderers found in the forests and waterfalls of the Grand Étang National Park, where canopy walks are warmly rewarded with the colourful melody of birdsong.

And, because variety has always been the spice of life, horse-shoe-shaped St George’s Town steps in with its picturesque pastel-hued Creole houses and dreamy yacht lagoon.

They just do it differently here. Blending African, Indian, and French influences into one big loveable melting pot, brave-faced foodies are quickly tempted by the spicy morsels of local produce. Served day-to-day in the Grand Craft and Spice Market (where even the locals are sure to be yapping) memories are warmly shared together over the national dish washed down with cocoa tea. Garnished with the lavish beach front restaurants, bustling cocktail bar scene and the unsurprising celebration of ‘spicemas’.

Caribbean & Mexico

It's all idyllic landscapes and take-it-easy vibes in the Caribbean... at least, that's what the newbies think. But those in the know, they're the ones who see that not all of these islands can fit into the same mould.
