North America
There’s no sitting still in North America, where every state has its own version of high-octane. Take to the water though, and the thrills can be filed under a different category – expedition.

On the Atlantic side, history fills every corner of the ‘New World’ in the six states that make up New England. Each region differs deeply from its neighbours, so life onshore is never the same. From the classic charms of Cape Cod and the vineyards of Connecticut to the pretty coves and Golden Age glitz of Rhode Island.
Across to the Pacific, the highlights of enigmatic Alaska come in the form of all-encompassing nature. It’s not all bear spotting and whale watching here though, with the state hiding a delectable (and possibly unexpected) foodie scene within its urban treasures.
Over the border, thrill-seeking sailors are hard-pressed to find an Achilles' heel in the sheer scale of Canada’s activities. A go-to expert in the great outdoors, the likes of kayaking, climbing, and all manner of wildlife excursions fill the schedule. But it’s worth taking a step away to experience what the local lifestyle has to offer.
