Averaging over 300 days of sunshine a year, it’s no wonder cosmopolitan Vail has a bright and buzzing attitude. Vail’s vast skiable terrain (at 5,317 acres, it’s one of the largest single mountain ski resorts in North America) offers challenges for all abilities encompassing seven legendary bowls, ‘champagne’ powder and exceptional cruising terrain for intermediates, the more adventurous of whom can tackle the un-groomed Blue Sky Basin area. The Epic Pass also covers the nearby exclusive enclave of Beaver Creek approximately 30 minutes’ drive away, where wooded mountains beg exploration with double-diamond blacks for daredevils through to blue cruisers and superb nursery slopes.
