Inside the iconic bronze curve of Wynn Las Vegas, such a high standard is set that it’s tricky for the other resorts in the city to keep up.

An all-suite resort sitting at the coveted quieter end of Vegas’ Strip, the family resemblance between Encore and its big sister hotel, Wynn Las Vegas, is evident. The aesthetics are the main give away, from the curved copper-hued façade to the vivid floral décor. But it’s the subtle luxuries that confirm that a taste for the finer things is in both hotel’s DNA. Rooms are sophisticated and calming, armed with custom-made products. While renowned Wynn Dream Beds, draped in sheets with a thread count just over the highest ever, tempt an afternoon nap. The staff are also that friendly and attentive that no-one minds being roused from forty winks when they arrive with indulgent room service.
That’s not to say the pair don’t have their differences though. The main way to distinguish both hotels is by the carpets. And as Wynn's florals are replaced by Encore's bed of butterflies, fellow guests morph into a fashionable younger in-crowd, catered to with a concoction of the unapologetically lavish. There are famous DJs playing at the Beach Club, a European pool where there are no tan line-related worries, and a smorgasbord of high-end shops. By night, the extravagance is splendidly amplified in the flirtatious XS nightclub or Mexican-inspired Casa Playa, where the agave-laced cocktails dance on the tongue.
