Almost 30 years ago, I embarked on my first solo adventure armed with a backpack and an insatiable curiosity. I travelled through Asia, Australia and New Zealand; life had no limits! Over the years, my journeys have continued to span the globe, where I’ve left footprints in Rome’s ancient streets, Canada’s breathtaking mountains and the majestic landscapes of Africa where I glided over the Serengeti in hot air balloon watching a pack of lions hunting their next meal - a real life ‘pinch me moment’.
I’m driven by the belief that travelling isn’t just about finding the best beaches and scenery (though of course I enjoy that too), it’s about immersing myself in the diverse cultures and connecting with interesting characters from the places I visit. I still get those butterfly feelings when I open my suitcase in a new place ready to explore and create lifelong memories. I’m committed to curating extraordinary luxury travel experiences for my clients, so they too can have their own special adventures.

When I plan trips for my clients, ‘perfection’ is what I have on my mind. I thrive off creating once-in-a-lifetime holidays and inspiring them by making suggestions they wouldn’t have even thought possible. If you ask me, everyone should have the chance to tick something off their bucket list. Whether that is to fly first class, stay in an iconic hotel or to see a wonder of the world – it’s different for every single person and I love being a part of making those dreams a reality. On my personal bucket list is the opportunity to visit Antarctica. The idea of cruising through iceberg passageways to the end of the earth, observing the changing seas and diverse wildlife, and maybe even taking an ice plunge would be so exciting!
In terms of where I have already visited, for me, Africa is the most exhilarating destination in the world. To see wildlife in its natural environment and be a spectator on the circle of life is such a unique and privileged experience. I planned an epic trip to Tanzania for my VIP client and his friends to climb Mount Kilimanjaro before they travelled onward to experience their first safari together spotting the Big Five and exploring the Ngorongoro Crater. He’s now planning gorilla and chimpanzee trekking in Rwanda – I believe catching the ‘Africa bug’ is a very real thing!

I fell in love with travel at such a young age and have been addicted ever since. I have a real feeling of serenity and wonder whenever I travel and being able to help others experience this too is a privilege. My most memorable experiences include watching the sun rise over the Atlas Mountains in Morocco from a hot air balloon, and hiking through lush jungle canopies, steep bluffs and stunning beaches on Hawaii’s Kalalau trail.
It’s always a thrill when I get to book those once in lifetime trips complete with one-of-a-kind experiences. I know that the best trips take time and several interactions to craft perfectly. For me, there’s nothing more exciting than hearing about my clients' wishes and dreams, for me to then be able to turn them into reality. I appreciate being able to offer my expertise and experience and add little moments of sparkle to make them as memorable as possible.

As the Senior Manager of retail, it's my job to ensure I support and empower my team to enhance the Carrier experience for each and everyone of our clients. I have been leading successful teams for over 20 years now and have a wealth of knowledge in travel management. I particularly enjoy working with my team, our clients and partners sharing our love for travel and forming close partnerships. But travel to me is more than just a career, I’m an enthusiast through and through.
I’ve been fortunate to visit some of the most beautiful places in the world from the Maldives and Grenada to Dubai and Turkey, which only continues to fuel my love of adventure. My personal goal to experience a different destination each year. It’s through my adventures that I have since discovered new passions too; on a recent trip to the Seychelles, I tried Pilates and have been practicing it ever since.

I started working in the travel industry immediately upon leaving school and I haven’t looked back since – once travel gets in your blood, it’s very difficult to leave this amazing industry. With over 35 years’ experience, I have been fortunate enough to embark on some unforgettable trips, where I have enjoyed unparalleled experiences and visited some of the most exclusive hotels in the world. As well as assisting with leading the retail team, I love being able to offer my first-hand expertise to my clients to help create their dream getaways, whatever that may be.
When it comes to co-ordinating travel arrangements, my favourite requests are when clients have a basic itinerary – this is where I can really shine. I feel that travelling is one of the most rewarding and enriching experiences that life has to offer, so I take great pleasure in building in extra touches that elevate the trip and make it even more memorable. Tipping the list of my favourite personal travel memories is taking a hot air balloon ride over Jaipur in India. Floating over traditional villages and getting an insight into the locals’ everyday life while the sun was rising was extremely unique and fulfilling; it’s an experience I will always remember.

Be it travelling with my family – which includes three children – or exploring by myself on a cruise, I get a thrill out of discovering the local culture and cuisine of wherever I visit. Vibrant, diverse, and inspiring, I can’t pick my favourite destination, but the city of New York is certainly up there. You just can’t beat the feeling of walking the streets you see in films with iconic buildings around every corner you turn.
My travel ‘pinch me moment’ has to be zip lining through the treetops of Cloud Forest in Monteverde, Costa Rica. It was terrifying but exhilarating all at the same time. Still on my bucket list is India where there’s something new to uncover every day. Much like life as a Luxury Travel Designer, no two days spent there would be the same. My favourite requests are when clients want to celebrate something special, as having a hand in assisting them and helping create these moments is an honour.

As cliché as it sounds, I discovered that I am happiest when I am travelling, and when that isn’t possible, channelling this passion into my work and chatting all things travel to my peers and clients makes me just as happy. I’m originally from Armenia and benefit from speaking four different languages; being bilingual offers me a path into other people's cultures and hearts. When a client books with me, I make it my mission to ensure they come away from their trip with memories that last a lifetime; I want them to feel special wherever they go.
I truly believe that every single destination offers something unique, but as a ‘must-experience’, I’d choose Italy. From the historical cities and stunning lakes and beaches, there’s no better place than to experience La Dolce Vita. One of my most memorable bookings was for a client who proposed to his partner in Venice. I helped plan every single detail of the trip including details for the proposal itself. When the couple returned home, they come into the boutique so I could hear all about it – she said yes of course – and I had planned for lots of special touches including engagement themed biscuits, and their favourite song playing. It was an extraordinary moment hearing how my work had made their big moment even more special.

My travel career began in 1997, sparking a lifelong passion. I've explored Australia, Asia, the Indian Ocean, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and Europe, with unforgettable moments like star gazing at Ayers Rock, seeing Andrea Bocelli perform in Rome’s ancient Baths of Caracalla, and my 'pinch me' moment’, dolphin -watching at sunset in the Maldives. These experiences have enriched my life and fuelled my desire to help others discover the wonders of the world.
At Carrier, I blend my love for travel with building meaningful relationships and providing a personalised, attentive service. I thrive on the challenge of designing tailored itineraries and adding thoughtful touches. To me, each client is a friend, and I take joy in hearing how my recommendations can make their trips extra special. Recently, I organised an anniversary trip with a special card and flowers mirroring the couple’s wedding bouquet. It’s these moments of happiness that keep me excited and passionate about my work

I never take for granted how lucky I am doing a job that allows me to visit new places, learn about new cultures and experience the extraordinary things I do. Flying over the Maldives in a sea plane, swimming with sea turtles, dining in some of the finest restaurants the world has to offer and discovering natural wonders such as The Great Barrier Reef and Ayers Rock – the list goes on. Every trip usually has that special moment where you have to pinch yourself to make sure you’re not dreaming and that is the kind of thing I just love being part of for my clients too – helping them exceed their wildest expectations and create an experience they will never forget.
As someone who loves a challenge, my favourite kind of requests are the ones where I have to not only use my own personal experiences, but also expand my knowledge. In the world of travel, things move on so quickly and there’s always something new to learn and keep me on my toes. I pride myself in gaining a deep understanding of each and every destination I visit, but also taking the time to get to know my clients so I can fully understand what it is they want from their trips and how I can make their getaways as perfect as possible.
