With hundreds of miniature islets surrounded by warm, crystalline seas, island hopping has become a way of life, each sandy outpost in the shallow waters having its own identity; from the family-focused activities of Paradise Island to the remoteness and tranquillity of Harbour Island, where golf carts are the preferred mode of transport and clapboard houses dot picturesque Dunmore Town.
And last but my no means least, strolls along the sugar-soft pink sands, diving to an astonishingly colourful underwater world, or partying with the islanders as the Junkanoo carnival parade epitomises Nassau.
