Switzerland

Both a winter wonderland and a summer haven, Switzerland has so much to offer. The colder months see the country’s vast landscapes covered in dustings of pristine white snow, and as the seasons beckon in the sun, verdant hues are unveiled.

Both a winter wonderland and a summer haven, Switzerland has so much to offer. The colder months see the country’s vast landscapes covered in dustings of pristine white snow, and as the seasons beckon in the sun, verdant hues are unveiled.

Home to some of the Alps’ highest peaks, and some of the world’s most beautiful lakes, Switzerland is a true paradise of nature. A host of wildlife, from the Alpine ibex to the golden eagle and even the Apennine wolf have made their dwelling here, revelling in the land's bounty. That’s not to say some of this isn’t saved for us humans. Opportunities present to take in some of Europe’s highest panoramas and relax on serene waterfronts. If the speed sounds a little too slow, sugar-coated slopes and bustling cities can help to pick up the pace.

A unique blend of cultures, you’ll find German, French, Italian, and Romansh influences weaving a wealthy tapestry throughout Switzerland. And each of their languages thrive here too, all four equally recognised as official dialects within the country. Sleepy alpine villages, medieval altstadts, and cities brimming with art and music all have their place here. Famed for its many exports spanning cheeses, chocolates and even watches, the one thing Swiss holiday makers are certain to take home with them is a longing to explore the country even further.
